Optometry Standards

These are the Optometry Standards.

The optometry industry in Australia plays a crucial role in eye care and vision health.

The Optometry Set contains standards which provide the minimum requirements and recommended practices for eye and face protection including prescription spectacles, sunglasses and fashion spectacles, and personal protective equipment.

The set is ideal for optometrists and dispensers in practice – who are providing spectacles, sunglasses, and eye protection – as well as for optometry schools and students.

Available in the Optometry set.
