Information about a licence or certificate in plumbing, draining and gasfitting work.
You need a licence before you can do any plumbing, draining or gasfitting (including LP gasfitting) work in NSW, regardless of the cost of the work and regardless of whether the work is residential, commercial or industrial.
Scope
Plumbing, drainage and gasfitting includes many different categories of work. Each is explained below.
You need to be licenced in every category you intend to work in.
You can apply to be licenced in different categories at the same or at different times.
