Description

Covers design, assembly, supervision and inspection, of structural friction or bearing type joints using ISO metric series bolts specified in AS 1252 or equivalent fasteners. Methods for the determination of slip factors are given in an appendix. The code sets out limits and conditions on the use of oversize, slotted and long slotted holes and also the conditions under which the punching of holes in members is permitted. A commentary provides the background to the Code and gives extensive explanatory information.
