AS/NZS IEC 60079.10.1:2022 adopts IEC 60079 10 1:2020, which specify requirements for the classification of areas where flammable gas or vapour hazards may arise and may then be used as a basis to support the proper design, construction, operation and maintenance of equipment for use in hazardous areas. Originated in Australia as AS 1076.2-1977 and AS 2430.1-1981. Originated in New Zealand as NZS 6101.1:1988. Jointly revised, amalgamated and redesignated as AS/NZS 60079.10:2004. Revised and redesignated in part as AS/NZS 60079.10.1:2009. Second edition 2022.
