Sets out lighting recommendations for a variety of tasks carried out within hospitals and medical premises, particularly tasks associated with clinical observation, treatment and care; recommendations also apply to related tasks, such as the visual examination of biological solutions and pathology specimens, in medical laboratories.

Sets out recommendations for the lighting of circulation spaces and other areas which commonly occur in buildings of various types; contains material that adds to or amends the recommendations in AS/NZS 1680.1:2006 and is intended to be read in conjunction with that Standard and with any applicable specific recommendations in other Standards in the AS/NZS 1680 series.

2018 edition of AS/NZS 3000 is amended as follows.

AS NZS 3000 2018 (known as the Australian/New Zealand Wiring Rules) specifies requirements for the design, construction and verification of electrical installations, including the selection and installation of electrical equipment forming part of such electrical installations; part 1 provides provisions that constitute the minimum regulatory requirements for a safe electrical installation; part 2 provides work methods and installation practices that are ‘deemed to comply’ with the requirements of Part 1.

Provides standardized requirements for the performance testing, manufacture and installation of flexible ducts.

Provides criteria for architects, the construction industry and health and building regulators to cooperatively ensure that buildings used by food businesses are designed, constructed and fitted out in compliance with the requirements of the Australian Food Standards Code, Standard 3.2.3, Food Premises and Equipment, which will assist food businesses to produce safe food.
