2018 edition of AS/NZS 3000 is amended as follows.

Specifies the design criteria and sets out guidance for use in the design of earth-retaining structures, for use by engineers and designers.

Defines and provides methods for determining single number quantities for the impact sound insulation in buildings; this Standard is identical with and reproduced from ISO 717-2:1996.

This Standard provides methods for determining the performance of external construction elements when exposed to radiant heat, burning embers and burning debris.

Specifies requirements for the design, installation and commissioning of wall wetting sprinkler systems where the exposure protection requirements of AS 2118.1 do not apply; intended to provide automatic external and/or internal protection to the unprotected infills of a building.

Sets out requirements for low-pressure flexible hose assemblies for use with medical gases; design, performance, identification and testing of low pressure flexible connecting assemblies used for conveying the medical gases at positive pressures up to 1400 kPa, and negative pressures not exceeding -95 kPa, are specified; flexible hoses used in fixed secondary equipment are not dealt with in this Standard; does not apply to manufacturer specific hoses provided by manufacturers of surgical tools as an integral part for use in the sterile operating area.

Sets out requirements for construction using Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (Reinforced AAC) members conforming with AS 5146.1 and AS 5146.2, including associated fixings, flashings and control joints; does not cover the construction of structures consisting of unreinforced autoclaved aerated concrete blocks.

Specifies requirements for the design and installation of sanitary plumbing and drainage from fixtures to a sewer, common effluent system or an on-site wastewater management system, as appropriate. It applies to new installations as well as alterations, additions or repairs to existing installations.
